About Office for Disability Issues projects
The Office for Disability Issues (ODI) offers support and advice to civil servants across government. In addition, there are a number of key projects on which ODI leads.
Current project areas
- User-led Organisations: encouraging strong and sustainable Disabled People's User Led Organisations
- Right to Control Trailblazers: giving disabled people more choice and control over the support they need
- Jobs for people with learning disabilities: supporting cross-government projects to improve employment prospects for people with learning disabilities
- Digital inclusion: ensuring disabled people can fully participate in the digital society
- Independent Living Strategy: ensuring disabled people have choice and control in their daily lives
- 2012 legacy: making a lasting difference for over 10 million disabled people in the UK
- Fulfilling Potential: working towards a new cross-government disability strategy
- Community Support Fund: a community-based package for disabled people in the areas affected by the Remploy factory closures
- Role models: Inspire a generation campaign to inspire young disabled people to help fulfil their potential and achieve their aspirations
- Access to Elected Office strategy: what government is doing to support disabled people who would like to stand for election
